Wonderful store, so well laid out, exceptionally welcoming and very knowledgeable. You can tell the staff are SO passionate about what they do. I think I've discovered my new favourite bookstore!

Five stars isn't enough for Stefen's Books.. This guy knows his stuff with all the genres of books he carries.. I went in looking for a particular book and walked out with three others.. I get the impression from him that hes read every book on the many shelves in his shop.. If you're looking for a Fantasy, or Horror, or a Science Fiction novel or even a Sherlock Holmes book (with a twist), don't go anywhere else. Come have a chat with Stefen... He's been around since Supa Nova in William Street in the 90s..

I'm not sure how it took me this long to realise this shop existed, but it's probably better for my bank account this way 😆 Wandered past one morning on my way to get ramen and saw a display in the window of my favourite childhood books, with new covers. I knew I would walk back and buy them all after lunch, and was very pleasantly surprised by the store as a whole. Stefen knows his stuff, supports local authors, and will recommend something you'll absolutely love. Next time I'm in the city I'll be visiting again!

Just wonderful! Stefen spoke to us a lot about books we like, and gave us a great recommendation. The knowledge of books blew us away, and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Highly recommend

It was a small book shop but compact, full of beautiful books and novels. take your time to find books you want to or just simply ask the person at the counter. They would be happy help you out. I had fun finding books that I wanted Thank you for the friendly service and hope that a lot of people would come here.

This is undoubtedly the best Sci-Fi/Fantasy bookshop in Perth - and probably the best bookshop all round. Stefen knows his stock very well and he always gives a recommendation for a niche book I wouldn't have considered buying that ends up being amazing.

This bookshop was a breath of fresh air! Absolutely fantastic little place filled to the brim with great books. Lovely welcoming environment and the owner was so helpful and friendly, very knowledgeable and passionate which is so nice to see. A real treasure and I'll most definitely be back once I've finished this lot! Thanks again, Darlene.

What an incredible variety of books this store has! The owner is so knowledgeable and friendly. I am always so disappointed by bookstores because they have all the same titles and authors but this store has such a unique selection with authors unheard of! I originally chose one book but after asking the owner more about his selection he told me about a few of the titles he has and I found myself leaving with two books instead of one! I’ve been to many different bookstores and this one was by far my favourite.

I dropped by Stefen's Books for the first time on the weekend looking for a good fantasy or sci-fi standalone. Thanks to Stefen's personal, non-pushy recommendations, I left with five books and an invitation to two author talks he's holding at a nearby pub. He was also happy to talk business, sharing countless insights from his 36 years in book selling. He stocks an impressive range, including niche finds, hardcovers, box sets and special editions. Paperbacks are priced similarly to Dymocks or QBD. 10/10 experience. I will be shopping here again.
